Sad News
My mother was crying,
scaring me to death.
I had heard the news,
I couldn't hear her breath.
Was she dying, too?
I ran away from the world.
I started crying hard as I could,
and my whole life hurled.
Mother, I called my mom.
I didn't hear a reply.
Mother, it's okay, you know.
It's time to say goodbye.
Welcome to The Butterfly Jar! I give all title credit to Jeff Moss who wrote the book, The Butterfly Jar. It was a poem book, so I also give credit to Jeff Moss, too. He was one of the original creators for Sesame Street.
I'm 10 years old and I love to write and make poems. They can be about space, segregation, snow, fairytales, or animals.
I'm not exactly the best poet, but I think my work is okay enough to read and not to throw up with. So, enjoy my poems!
